In this new series, we speak to the people on the other side of the branch window to find out how they’re doing business right now – and how their Zoopla membership is helping them do it.
Marc von Grundherr, Director at London-based Benham and Reeves, has been in the agency business for 27 years – but he hasn’t lost any of the passion he had when he first started out.
Marc has worked for Benham and Reeves for 25 of those years. Originally focused on lettings, the agency’s business now spans sales too – in the capital and surrounding areas. This attracts a large international investor audience, as well as serving local homeowners from 19 London branches.
It currently manages over 3,500 properties and sells around 1,000 units a year.
With 8 international offices across the Far East, Middle East and East Asia, the agency’s clients – who are all UK investors – are still keen to buy and let. But, the supply of property for them to invest in is an ongoing issue.
In a challenging legislative environment – and an even more challenging UK economy – Benham and Reeves is treading its own path. It’s focusing on its big strength – personal service and detailed local market knowledge.
Benham and Reeves has been a Zoopla member since the early days. Today, our lead volumes represent over a third of the agency’s overall total.
In terms of Zoopla products, Marc is a fan of Premium Listings, which it splits across its sales and lettings portfolio to further stand out from the crowd in a busy market.
The agency is looking at new offices, as well as expanding further into high-growth Asian markets – and we’re excited to see what they do next.
